I highly recommend A1 Sewer Service! Last night, due to a clogged and leaking kitchen line, I needed emergency service. I didn't know what the problem was when I reached out to A1 Sewer Service, only that there was a stinky mess in one corner of my basement, which I discovered when MidAmerican came to rule out a gas leak. While searching for local 24/7 plumbers online, I found A1, called, and left a message. Within minutes, Andrew Irvin called me back. He asked a few questions, and said he thought it might be kitchen line. He said he'd be over in thirty to forty-five minutes, but he arrived in less than thirty and determined rather quickly that my problem was in fact the kitchen line, and he took care of it immediately! He also helped me clean up the mess, which I appreciated so much, since it was already after 10:00 p.m., and I had to teach this morning. He advised that I finish the cleaning with bleach, so I did that after he left. I am so impressed with Andrew's professionalism and kindness, and the cost of the after-hours job seems more than reasonable to me. He gave a 10% discount to teachers, which I appreciated. Again, I highly recommend A1 Sewer Service.

Andy was awesome! We had a house full of people on a Saturday and he bailed me out of a bad sewer situation. Took care of the problem and made recommendations so we don't run in to same issue in the future. 100% recommend!

Andy did a great job. Removing a two bowl undermount sink from granite countertop, replacing the sink with a single bowl, new faucet and disposal. Not something everyone does. Andy was on time, communicated well, very detail oriented and trustworthy. Estimate was on target as well. Highly recommend.

I had a water heater leak and Andy at A1 Sewer responded promptly. He quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced the unit, and was very helpful in making sure I got the warranty figured out. Overall, he handled everything efficiently, fairly, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I contacted Andy to install two new toilets. He was incredibly responsive when scheduling the appointment. One of the toilets was defective and had to be returned. He came back the next day to install the new one. He rates were stick on - not trying to gouge you and the service provided was 5 star. I would recommend Andy for any job concerning plumbing!

Our toilet was backing up late at night, called A1 Sewer and Andy picked up and came out quickly. He unclogged the drain and got our toilet working properly. If you live in Iowa city or Cedar Rapids, give them a call!
